Is There Anything But 3D Available Anymore?

With all the talk about 3D these days, you would think that the electronic manufacturers weren't doing anything else. You would think that they were obsessed with 3D; much like the movie industry has been for the last couple of years. If you look around and see all of the products that are being pushed on the public, you might say that being obsessed was not far off.

You not just have 3D television making its impact felt on the entertainment front, but you also have gaming consoles and even cameras. The televisions are making a bigger impact than many people predicted just a couple of years ago. Actually, many industry analysts thought that the 3D craze in HD televisions was just a fad, which it would fade out of the spotlight in a couple of years. If anything, it has gotten bigger and more and more men and women are trying the glasses on for size.

That's to say, they are splurging for the higher end televisions and the fancy 3D goggles that you have to wear, and most individuals are enjoying what they are seeing. Many of the major television networks are offering programming in 3D and it's making the way men and women watch sporting events and regular programming new and different. Soon, most of the channels up and down the dial are going to offering their programming in 3D.

But besides the television programs and movies in 3D, video games are also trying to cash in on the new market. Sony has even released their own 3D television, that when paired with a PlayStation 3 and certain video game titles, two players can watch the same television and see separate images. That's to say that if you have two players playing a game, they can each see their own version of the game on the same television; making the necessity for split screen or two televisions unnecessary.

It is just another neat example of how the technology is trying to stay ahead of the needs of the consumers. Also, in addition to gaming and just watching television in 3D, there are 3D capable cameras and camcorders. These devices record the images, be them still photographs or video images, for playback on your 3D enabled television. Soon, all of those boring family vacation videos that nobody wants to watch will be much more enjoyable to view in 3D.
